His Durban Solo Debut | Saturday, 28 November 2026This November, The Chairman welcomes Phila Dlozi for his debut solo show in Durban - an intimate musical gathering led by one of South Africa’s distinctive contemporary Afro-soul voices.Born in kwaSokhulu, near Richards Bay, Phila Dlozi’s journey is a testament to the power of purpose, perseverance and the gift of music. From singing on the streets and in train carriages to reaching national audiences, his story is as moving as the music he shares. Through songs such as Badimo, Amalobolo, Babekazi and Ikhandlela, he explores the complexities of love, family, identity, ancestry and the search for light in uncertain times. But a Phila Dlozi performance is more than a collection of songs.
