Damian Philander solo piano recital

We are very please to present Damian Philander, a young pianist whose reputation is steadily growing. Having started piano lessons at the age of 3, Damian has devoted much of his focus on a musical career. He plays an interestingly wide range of other instruments, indicative of a wide musicianship. He is working with one of South Africa's most renowned concert pianists and teachers, Prof. Nina Schumann and currently preparing programme for the National Youth Music Competition. This recital includes some of that work as well as other pieces that particularly inspire him.Prof. Nina Schumann has also very generously offered to perform an opening piece for Damian's recital and this is a special opportunity to hear her in solo performance in an intimate setting. For both mentor and performer to be heard in one recital is interesting and rare.
