SOWETO - We walk again! On the 27th of September\, we return to the streets of Soweto for the second chapter of The Soweto Community Photowalk — ARCHIVE 002.This time\, we begin by looking back. We’ll gather at Eyethu Heritage Hall at 2PM for a documentary screening of Sam Nzima: A Journey Through His Lens\, directed by Nhlanhla Mthethwa — spending time with the work\, history and legacy of a photographer whose images became part of South Africa’s visual memory. From there\, we step outside with our own cameras and perspectives.THEME: EXPLORING SOUTH AFRICAN HERITAGE THROUGH OUR LENS.We’ll walk through Soweto together — observing\, documenting\, exchanging knowledge and making photographs. Not simply to record what is in front of us\, but to consider what we inherit\, what we remember\, and what we choose to preserve.ARCHIVE 002 is another chapter in our ongoing effort to build a living visual record of South African stories\, places\, people and heritage — by the photographers who are here\, now.Meeting point: Eyethu Heritage Hall\, SowetoDate: Sunday\, 27 September 2026Time: 2PMDocumentary screening: R30.00 Photowalk: FREE — RSVP requiredBring your camera.Bring your perspective. One afternoon of watching\, learning\, walking\, shooting and connecting.(Tag who you think should walk beside you/us!)ARCHIVE 002.See you in Soweto. ???
