SUMMARY:Lysistrata
DESCRIPTION:What happens when young people decide they've had enough of leaders who refuse to end conflict? UCT's Theatre and Performance students present Lysistrata\, Aristophanes' legendary comedy about collective action\, resistance\, and the power of ordinary citizens to challenge the status quo. Blending humour\, satire\, and a healthy dose of rebellion\, this energetic production explores themes of war\, activism\, gender politics\, and social change that still resonate in today's world. Join us at the Little Theatre for a fresh take on a classic that proves laughter can be one of the most powerful tools for confronting society's biggest questions.
