SUMMARY:Japanese Woodblock Printing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Discover mokuhanga\, the traditional Japanese woodblock printing technique behind the iconic Ukiyo-e prints of Hokusai and Hiroshige. In this hands-on introductory workshop led by artist Natasha Norman\, you'll learn the distinctive materials and methods of this centuries-old craft — water-based pigments\, hand-carved blocks\, washi paper\, and the baren printing tool. Working from pre-carved woodblocks\, you'll print and layer colours by hand to create two original prints to take home. No experience necessary — just bring your curiosity!
