Since its establishment in 1946, the OSM has played a significant role in shaping South Africa's musical landscape, and this special occasion honours its rich legacy and enduring contribution.This flagship celebration will showcase a programme of South African compositions performed by distinguished artists, including the Odeion String Quartet. The evening will also feature a special conversation with Professor Jeanne Zaidel-Rudolph on the occasion of the launch of her new book. In addition, the recipient of the 2026 Helgaardt Steyn Composition Prize will be announced during the concert.Admission is free, but seating is limited.
