JMS PRESENTS GARETH LUBBE WITH HANNA HEINMAA

Gareth Lubbe, a South African-born violist, violinist, and overtone singer, is internationally known for his wide-ranging collaborations with artists from many genres and for his versatility as a musician. A sought-after chamber musician, Gareth is invited to perform regularly with artists such as Boris Brovtsyn, Janine Jansen, Mischa Maisky and Pinchas Zukerman. He performs on the world’s leading stages such as the Berlin Philharmonie, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall in London and Carnegie Hall in New York. In addition, Gareth also performs as a permanent artist and teacher at leading festivals in Finland, England, South Korea, Japan and Brazil, among others. He will be performing with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra for their Spring season, nd this recital will be exclusive to the Johannesburg Musical Society - made more special as he will be collaborating with his equally talented pianist wife Hanna Heinmaa and the programme will highlight his unique expertise as master of both violin and viola.
